THE PAIN OF OUR MODERN SPIRIT AND PHILOSOPHY

The “Philosophers of Burgas” club hosts various academic and educational events, including lectures by philosophers, theologians, psychologists, historians, priests and leading teachers from prestigious institutions around the world. Apart from our distinguished guests, regular participants in our events include students and teachers from secondary schools in the city of Burgas.

The "precursor" of the "Philosophers of Burgas" was the "Socrates" Club (Kržoka) from 35 years ago. The circle strengthened, students from language high schools were invited, several of the assistants became docents, the lectures became more organized, more "read", and the schedule was ambitious - twice a week. Club Socrates is the organizer of two International Philosophical Conferences with the participation of students from Norway, Great Britain, Chile, Portugal and Sofia University.      
And now, thirty-odd years later, with ten doctors of philosophy, with a whole galaxy of philosophers, political scientists, orientalists, lawyers, philologists, psychologists, the nostalgic idea to "restore" the club sneaks out from among the former "Socratics".
